I took apart my NE 4d last night because I had a note that was registering full velocity all the time. I found a spec of grime on top of that notes sensor. Got it cleaned up, and put back together no problem. Issue is now resolved.

Question 1. There was a jumper on the I/O board labeled P7, with nothing plugged in. It looked like a bios jumper used to reset bios settings on a motherboard. Is this essentially what this is, A reset jumper?

Question 2. There is a 2 pin plug on the back of the I/O board. Ive noticed this plug before but have never known its use.

Question 2 is technically not a question...

Maybe some searching on the forum (I thought this was mentioned before).

After all, nothing to worry about it, just don't touch it

Sorry, technically i didn't ask a question (but you know what I mean). Couldn't find anything in the forum or user manual. Im hoping for a miracle that its some sort of secret midi plug that enables bi timbral features on the Electro 4, although this is not likely.

It's a secret Swedish port that can be used to triple your memory....

That 2 pins input is used for keyboard calibration (was discussed quite some time ago, post3994.html)

(The other jumper could/should be the one used to select between 61 and 73 keys models, but... better leave it alone, OK? )
