Re: Stage 2 76 key action same as Stage 2 88?
Yes, NS2 HA 76 and 88 both use exactly the same Fatar TP40, same for NS2 EX 88; instead the NS2EX76 model uses a HP (TP100) and not the HA keybed anymore.

[quote="KarlSutton"]Well I went to go play it again & all they had was the 73 & a NP2. Is Stage 2 the same action as the NP2? Thinking about getting the 73 & a Yamaha P155 for the bottom, though. Might bI had a Juno DS88 on the bottom th
Get the NS2 or EX( I recommend the NS2 cheaper and I love mine) then add the weighted 88 key.

The Stage 2 76, 88 and the Stage 2EX 88 all use the Fatar TP40 action. They feel the same
The Stage 2EX 76 uses the Fata TP100 action, which is a bit stiffer to play but much lighter to carry.

Re: Stage 2 76 key action same as Stage 2 88?
The HP76 is the SAME action as the electro 5HP 76 model, the piano 2 and original piano models, and the stage 2 of yesteryear. Someone can chime in if I'm wrong.
The stage 2 ex HA 88 uses a tried and true Hammer action keybed that is identical to the newer 88key workstations that use Fatar keybeds. Think Kurzweil keyboards. Much more reliable simply because its been around for much longer.
The 76 Hammer portable action is newer so still has some ways to go in terms of getting "all the kinks" out.
Hope this helps!

I've been playing on an Electro 3HP since 2013, so I'm not so sure what mean by getting the kinks out. I did have to disassemble and relubricate that action a few years ago, but it's been solid ever since, and I play it out at least once each week.
The Nord Piano 88, Piano 2 88, Stage 88 (all versions), Stage/Stage 2 76 all use the HA action, based on the Fatar TP40 mechanism. The Electro 3/4/5 HP, Piano 2HP and Stage 2EX 76HP are all based on the Fatar TP100 action. I own a Stage 2EX 76HP and have played an Electro 5HP and can tell you that there is been evolutionary improvement in the action.
