Hi guys,
So I want to have B3 on slot A and a Farfisa on Slot B, but it seems not to be able to to that. I would switch with wheel or CTL pedal. What seems to happen is that it changes both slots to the same organ model. - so when I ma creating the sounds, the second slot (either 'a' or 'b', it does not matter) I change the model and then the first slot also is changed to that model....ugh!
Any ideas?

Re: different organ models on different slots
Simple answer: you can't.
There is only 1 organ engine.

Re: different organ models on different slots
As Bart said, but you can create some fairly good Vox/Farfisa-like sounds using some of the Synth (Wavetable mode) digital waveforms, try that (or look in the NS2 Programs for a patch for Dire Strait's "Walk of Life" which uses that trick for one of the sounds).
Last alternative: sample the Farfisa into .nsmp and use it in the Synth

it was a disappointment discovering that as it usually is described as 2x engine =6 sounds but is not true is it?

Yes, it is. Two synths, two pianos, but for the organ, the model must be the same on slot A & B, but you can program slot B very differently on any of the organ model...like tou are doing on a 2 manual organ....then, 6 different sounds...

No, it's only a single "engine" but powering two manuals. This is actually essential for the sound, because the same tonewheel (or transistor oscillator for VX) appears on both manuals with the same phase relationship. That is, for example the zero crossings of a given pitch are always exactly at the same time. If they were independent, we'd end up in the same mud-sound world as organ wannabes on sample playback synths.
BTW, a certain large chip appears five times on the main board, not 6. Coincidence?

Ok agree, it's just that having 5 engines instead of 6 has never been an issue for me...

Yes, a coincidence, because there are actually 6 are DSPs, check it here nord-stage-forum-f3/ns2-in-the-nude-t2647.html
