Hello!
My name is Fred and I play keyboards for the psychedelic indie rock band SeepeopleS. Were headed out on tour on Thursday morning and my brand new Nord Stage 2 EX JUST arrived. I am very excited about this addition to my rig but I am also very intimidated by this as Ive only worked with lower end roland and korg boards until now. I have a lot of pressing needs but here are the two most important:

1 - I need a great tutorial (preferably video) that can walk me through every inch of what this board can do as If i was a complete idiot (I just might be). Most of the boards I have purchased in the past have these and I have found a few on youtube but they have definitely left me wanting.

2 - I need to know exactly how to save the tones I need for my live set to be triggered by the touch of a button. It looks like, from the little research I have had time to do, that I do this by using the Nord sound manager on my laptop - dragging to patches I want into a bank that I can pull up on stage - am I on the right track? This still totally intimidates me so any step by step help would be huge. Im headed to my rehearsal space now to try and tackle this.


ANY help anyone can offer on the questions above would be much appreciated. Normally I would never buy a new board so close to the start of a tour but here I am and I gotta deal! Your help for my sincere gratitude!

The manual actually gives you a great start.

I've spent a decent amount of time with the manual and it's helpful but
Other boards I have worked with practically have a section with
Blinking neon lights that says "look here to learn how to save
Patches for your love set"
