Thanks for the details!

A 2017 LAMM is not comparable to a 1999 version. Rudi has kept adding parts to his list of pre-emptive replacements.
I had mine done in 2015, and it was under 5000€ (incl. VAT) for the upgrade - but that was with local drop-off and pick-up. He replaced over 1500 components.

I'm not sure I'd ever take it on the road, though.
