Hello,
I'm interested in buying the Nord Piano 3, because i like its keybed and action (i play a yamaha G2 acoustic grand at home and it could mimic it a little more than "basic" Fatar TP40, that i play and like on a Kurzweil)
However, in the manual, page 14, it says :
"Some of the keyboard data generated by the triple sensor/Virtual Hammer Action technologies is not supported by the MIDI protocol and will not be transmitted as MIDI messages. To be certain that what you hear is what you record make sure that Local Control Mode is set to off."
Has someone tested it in use with a DAW sequencer ? Which datas or behaviours are not transmitted and then not received on playback ?
One turnaround should be recording the live take in audio, plus in MIDI, but then if the sound should be changed or equalised or else, the live recording would become useless.
I hesitate between Nord Piano 3 and Nord Stage 2 EX : my musical style is Piano as the main instrument with DrumMachine / loops / synth bass, and a few pads...
So, do you think that the difference in action between the 2 (given the MIDI limitations too) is important enough to favor the NP3 ?
Thank you in advance for your answers to come !
Alex
