Hello there,
Can the Nord S2EX be paired up with an external keyboard/Midi-controller via a USB-Midi cable? Not sure I understand the manual.. In the USB Connection section, it says "The Nord Stage 2 EX can transmit and receive MIDI data via the USB interface." It may only be referring to the connection to a computer?
I'm noticing that some Midi-controllers rely on the USB cable to provide power, which could be cool as it would allow you to eliminate one cable from your setup, assuming the USB-Midi would serve the dual purpose - both power and Midi.
I'm also noticing that both the S2EX and other controllers have the same USB connector - the small square-shaped end, and appears that the cables do not have the small connector on both ends.
Thanks for any insights!

This answers your question
You have to connect them using old-school DIN midi connection cables.

Re: USB MIDI ques
Thanks. Figured out how to use advanced search and found applicable threads. I think what threw me a bit was that the Kronos is set up to do just this, they have both the Type A and Type B connectors on the back panel. Seems being able to minimize having to plug power cables into a power strip is a value add and a safety add as well?
Re: USB MIDI ques
Hi, you can do it but with something like this: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Kenton-Electron ... Sw44BYlMDO
A midi/usb host.
Type B usb is always connected to a host computer.

Re: USB MIDI ques
Also the new BOMEBOX can serve as a USB host and do LOTS of other things besides.
