Re: NS2 service manual/diagnostic mode?
You should better write to Nord Support directly for that or contact your country's distributor/assistance.
As a general consideration, Test mode and Service Manuals are usually intended for the official Product support and technicians, so I would not be surprised if they prefer not to share with every user and on a public forum (and this applies to all Brands, not just Nord).

Re: NS2 service manual/diagnostic mode?
Hello Renato,
there is no diagnostic mode which is available officially, ther maybe something which Clavia or their service partners may use but this is not publicly available as you could see from the posts above. If you could let us know which problem you want to solve or for what reason you want to use a diagnostic mode we maybe able to give you some hints and advices

Re: NS2 service manual/diagnostic mode?
That´s right, but considering that we are living in a diferent new world where users are powered by internet who teaches everything, many jobs are vanishing, many taboos collapsing, it´s been a long time you can find not only the Diag Mode but also the schematics, service notes on the internet of most models of several brands. Of course the assistences does not like their costumers have this access, but you agree that for those who lives far away from the big cities on the countryside, this helps a lot solve small problems instead of having to spend big money shipping big units ! Also, it is a big help to users that has the ability to fix their own machines at their own risk. And if it´s not under warranty, you are not obligated to take it to any repair shop unless the problems requires it, and has the right to be helped by the manufacturer in which you invested money buying the keyboard trusting you will have support. When the manufacturer throws you at the hands of a 3rd party (repairshop) they are sometimes colluding with people who can take advantage of their monopoly power to assault the client by charging too much, so my opinion is that manufacturers should democratically review their policies to benefit those who keep them alive.maxpiano wrote:You should better write to Nord Support directly for that or contact your country's distributor/assistance.

Do you realize you have put "collude", "advantage", "monopoly" and then "democratically" in the same sentence...?Renato Sommexe wrote:That´s right, but considering that we are living in a diferent new world where users are powered by internet who teaches everything, many jobs are vanishing, many taboos collapsing, it´s been a long time you can find not only the Diag Mode but also the schematics, service notes on the internet of most models of several brands. However, sorry but right or wrong that's how it is at the moment (still, after over 4 years from the first post of this thread), again if you have any request or complaint you can write directly to Nord via their website support page, this forum is not affiliated with Clavia/Nord so any "request" made here is just "pub talking" and may not necessarily be read by anyone working @Nord and being able to follow it up, in any way.

Re: NS2 service manual/diagnostic mode?
Renato, why don’t you let us simply know the problem(s) you need to get solved so we may be able to give you some hints without the need to get to know an unknown diagnostic mode? This would at least give you a chance to find a solution, although not guaranteed of course, but it’s better than continuing fighting against windmillsRenato Sommexe wrote:That´s right, but considering that we are living in a diferent new world where users are powered by internet who teaches everything, many jobs are vanishing, many taboos collapsing, it´s been a long time you can find not only the Diag Mode but also the schematics, service notes on the internet of most models of several brands. Re: NS2 service manual/diagnostic mode?
because it´s not that simple, it´s in the repair level, there´s a problem with the board which works but have no sound just noise can be heard when you raise the volume on the speaker. It was caused by a mistake of the owner trying to solve keys problem by rubber cleaning and when mounting one of the plugs was not fit correctly and after this one IC was visually demaged and was exchanged but still no audio. next suspect are the 2 Dacs but as there are several Dsp Ics on the board it would be good to run the diagnostics which would indicate precisely where the problem is located

Re: NS2 service manual/diagnostic mode?
Sounds like it would be good to contact the country's distributor or Clavia directly.

Re: NS2 service manual/diagnostic mode?
I agree with FZiegler, I don’t think that any on-board diagnostics function (even if there would one exist at all) will let you know which DAC/DSP chip is damaged - the only option is an authorized or at least capable repair center
