Patch change knob not always working
The main scroll knob (patch change) on my NS2 SW73 is getting glitchy. Sometimes I turn it and it doesn't change the patch, but it still works most of the time. It's behaving like a dirty or worn out pot would. Is it susceptible to dust or is it a sealed unit? Can it be cleaned or do I have to get it replaced?

Re: Patch change knob not always working
Sorry if this is a duplicate post. I searched for "scroll" and didn't find anything that would apply.

Problem for which we had other cases discussed in the past, example post61900.html
The encoder of the main knob may need service and potentially replacement.

Re: Patch change knob not always working
Disconnect all incoming midi if any in case it is interfering with your manual turning of the knob.

Re: Patch change knob not always working
I found a part on Syntaur. As usual the Nord Canada distributor is completely useless and tells me they can't get a part for 8 weeks. Had the same problem with my power supply. Heads up, someone needs to fix Nord Canada! A working musician can't go 8 weeks without his keyboard!!!
Can anyone (Pablo) confirm whether the right part for the main patch change encoder on an NS2 SW73 is this? https://syntaur.com/Items.asp?Item=2101. The part number is 652-ECW1J-R19CC0024L.
Thanks in advance,
-= John
