Re: Installing Nord half moon switch on Electro 4 SW73

Ta-Da! Inspired by the OP, I performed the Nord Electro 3 half-moon switch retrofit. A custom-designed printed ABS plastic plate with stainless steel threaded inserts, form-fit to the bottom chassis and secured with Velcro. The switch was found on ebay, used (now that’s an overpriced Nord).

Since the stop setting is currently non-functional, a little piece of black masking tape will work quite well to cover up the STOP lettering. Black masking tape! Brilliant!

Proof once again that many members of this forum are aptly named! The Professor has shown the way here. Note that The Professor did not actually DO ANYTHING to his instrument beyond sticking a little velcro to the underside. No drilled holes, no muss, no fuss!

Thanks for the lesson!

Bless,

Pablo

Use the black color Velcro; it is the heaviest duty. I have Velcro in place and ready for everything from a half moon switch underneath for a Vent, to drink cup holders on each end, to a piece on top left of my E3/73 for a little Rolls mini-mixer to boost the output signal. Nothing ever moves. The Rolls is so handy too; not much bigger than a pack of cigs.

Good luck!

Very good!
I will try to do this as well with my Nord Stage 2 (also the way you installed the switch on your instrument, very nice)

Do you think the half moon switch will work as well on my NS2 ?
Slow/Fast is OK. That the stop will not function is not a problem for me.
