how to change layered synth sounds like A:10:2, A:10:4...???

Postby hqpiano » 02 Dec 2016, 20:46

Hi folks, I'm quite new to the nord stage 2 EX, I do not understand how to change one of the two or maybe more layered sound as e.g. in Presets A:10:2 Church Mix. Is consists at least of two sounds within the synth section, a small chapel organ and a bright cathedral organ sound, which is only audible when I raise the SYNTH level knob. I can only change the latter sound (which is also shown in the OSC section as Sample no. 136).
But how can I change the level, sound or sample no. of the chapel organ sample?

Or let's take A:10:4 (Muted Trmp Organ). I can switch off the organ part and I can change the string pad, but I don't know how to access anything that has to do with the muted trumpet sound (volume, sample no.)
It seems that I can switch anything off, and turn all LEVEL knobs down to zero (except the master volume of course). The trumpet remains.

How does it work? :?: :?: :?: :?: :?:

Press the appropriate slot button (A or B) and then adjust. It should change only the sound for that slot.

:o :D Solved!
It's just that simple! The two different sounds are stored in Slot A and in Slot B and the sounds of Slot A und Slot B can be played simultaneously, I just did'nt know this simple thing, I thought A and B only were alternatives.

Yes push A and B simultaneously to select both slots if both are not already selected. Do the same to get back to separate slots.

When both are selected the blinking light will show you which slot is currently active. Press the non-blinking one to make it active.
