Hi worldwide Nord people!
My first post here since buying my NS2EX a month ago so thanks for reading. There's some awesome info on here for what must be one of the best keyboards around (however with some of the most frustrating shortfalls!!!).
Is there a way to organise sounds on a lap top when not connected to the Nord? I see you can save your list of sounds as a CSV file but would love to be able to re-organise these (backstage before a gig for example) then just connect up to the NS2EX and BOOM, they're now re-organised on the synth.
Why...?
I play in a function band and we tend to decide on a set list a few days before a show so I have time to connect up my keys to my lap top and sort my sounds into the correct order so we are fast and slick moving from one song to the next. We play mostly weddings so we like to keep up the pace from one song to the next.
I have all my songs (Sounds) in alphabetical order in Bank C and just copy them into Bank D (using sound manager) into the order they appear in the set. Sorted and ready to go.....
Sometimes when we arrive at a gig we realise we have completely misjudged the crowd and need to swap songs around, put new ones in and take some out. For this I have to either cause delays from one song to the next by scrolling through the 50 songs I have saved, or sneak on stage and connect up the lap top to move things around.
Anyone else have this issue? Is there a way around it?
Any help would be greatly appreciated as it's the one thing that drives me mad about this otherwise brilliant keyboard.
Thanks guys!
Alistair.

I don't use an iPad with my NS2 or NS2EX, but a lot of others do and I think it *MIGHT* solve what you're trying to do. Try reading through one of the Set List Maker threads to see what folks are doing with this app.

My solution is to use the ABC Sort mode and then I can quickly dial to any sound I want, regardless of the order of the set list. For nearly 5 years with my NS2, I did the more tedious version of this, connecting my NS2 to the Nord Sound Manager before every gig and then dragging/dropping sounds into exact order. That was very time-consuming...so I am now using the ABC Sort mode and it works great.
