So I've run into a wee snag.
I've got both slots taken with synth and sample.
The sample has a very pronounced delay.
I want to turn it off after the song has started.
My hands are too busy covering parts of that song between 2 keyboards.
Is there a way to kill that delay?
You say morph. Ok. Could this be accomplished with a switch?
I'm out of room on the pedal board for another flappy pedal.
I do have a Boss FV something momentary or latching switch.
Can the morph via a pedal be assigned so it will turn off that delay
even though it's not a CC pedal?
I guess off would be 0 and on would be 127 right?
Use external and a midi something but then there's another device.
No room!
I need one of those Farfisa knee swell things from the Compacts.
Remember that? It really worked quite nicely.
People always wondered what that thing was for.
Thanks
Hooch

Re: Turning effects on and off without using the panel butto
Might I suggest this method?
In all seriousness though, maybe the aftertouch can turn it off and on? I haven't messed around with morph and switches, only knobs.

Re: Turning effects on and off without using the panel butto
not designed for this, but possible to use plain footswitch (e.g. sustain pedal) for this. The control pedal circuit is looking for a continuously variable resistance; the sustain pedal or momentary switch will simply bounce between zero resistance and high resistance, so can be used for morph.
Once or twice a year I get panic phone call or email from someone onstage at sound check whose instrument appears normal on front panel but produces NO AUDIO OUTPUT! Depending upon programming, this is what can happen when sustain pedal accidentally connected to control pedal jack.
or you can use ebowen's more elegant method!
