Hello guys,
I can't figure out how to turn off that the Nord Sample Editor always automatically make use of its multi sample assign function.. Even if I'm doing the Manual Sample Assign or name the samples individually (D2,F#4 etc.) and use the 'map root from file name' function it doesn't work.
My Samples are already seperated .wav files. I want to use the Sample Editor to 'trigger' sounds (my Waves) with my Nord Electro 3 in the end.
Could't find out anything on Youtube or the Manual, maybe someone has an idea?
peace, dadu

Hello Dadu,
I don't know if I understand exactly what you mean, but I think you want to have a sample under just one key, not a range of keys.
You can do this by limiting the range in the Sample Zone at the Instrument tab.
Just set the root key to the same key as the upper key for the sample.

Hmm, just did it. I need to adjust the lower key sample zone as well.. I want every key that is not directly mapped with a sample to be blanco.

Re: Disable automatic multi sample assign in Nord Sampe Edit
This workaround trick only works upward unfortunately. If you want silent keys below the root key, you would have to assign a silent sample to the key directly below the root key.
This 'silent' sample works: post22085.html

But I can only assign noisy silence one time. If I try to assign it from the wavelist again he atomatically deassignes my first 'assignement'..
Maybe someone has a tip?

Re: Disable automatic multi sample assign in Nord Sampe Edit
that is not intuitive to me -- I would think that it would allow one to map the same sample to more than one note at the same time, but never tried this so perhaps you are correct.
If so, simply make multiple copies of the noisy silence (NS1, NS2, NS3, etc..) and map as many as you need to the notes as appropriate for what you are trying to achieve
