Thanks for that update, Pablo. I had always assumed that the actions on the NP2 88 and the NS2 HA 76 were different, well, because they feel different when I play them. Maybe it's that aftertouch strip, I dunno. Next time I get a chance, I'm going to critically A/B them.
I guess you learn something every day.

Re: EX88 vs HA88 and Piano 2 Hammer Function
out of curiosity, how does the stage 76hp feel compared to the 88ha?
this coming from a piano player used to just average upright pianos.

Re: EX88 vs HA88 and Piano 2 Hammer Function
Hello again freddie. You have not tell us, if you want to have the piano for use of just a piano section. The NP2 is a very good instrument with a great feeling when you play it, and you can combine the piano sound with a soft pad or something else in the synth section. But if you in the future maybe will split up with an organ, or want to edit an lead synth in the synth section easy in a live situation, you have to go for the EX88. But if you only will go for a good piano, you can choose any one of them. Go for your own feel of which options you want in the instrument. I can understand if you been confused, when you read a post that said in the first moment, that the NP2 is the choice, hands down, and in a second post, it have to deal with maybe 3% in difference. I cant see it will help you as a novice in your choice. In another post, I can see a comment/question, that the 73 version is the same as the HA88. I cant see that Pablo has wrote this fact anywhere in his post. He said the 73 version has a waterfall organ type action. Well Freddie, go for the EX88 or NP2, depending on your needs. Dont worry about the possible differences, with or without the AT strip. You have not use of the aftertouch function, when you playing a piano sound though.
Best regards: Stefan.
