Memory protection on NP3

Post by jackdwosh »

I'm new to Nord keyboards. Just got an NP3. Absolutely love it. Piano sounds are amazing/wonderful dynamics/keyboard feels great. I mostly play a Yamaha C3 acoustic grand and although the key bed is not quite the same on the NP3, nevertheless is extremely playable and responsive for someone who has played acoustics for 57 years as a dedicated hobbiest. At the keyboard touch setting at "1" I can play in my usual heavy handed style and feel right at home..Question: I get into system settings and get
The memory protection "on" display and can't figure out how to turn it to "off". No apparent up/down switches that I can see. The user manual is not specific on exactly HOW to turn it off to save program or live mode changes. Thanx if anyone has an answer to this.

Shift and System to get into the menu (then you can release Shift and System) and then press and hold Value and twist Prog/Menu and then Exit.

Covered in detail on page 15 of the manual in the first paragraph under the heading MENUS.

Because the process for adjusting any parameter in any of the menus is the same, they describe it once at the beginning of the chapter. We've probably all seen older manuals where the same detailed process is repeated thirty times for each of the thirty pertinent parameters. So annoying.
