Hi all,
I proudly present you my custom made infrared switch to toggle the Leslie on eg. a Nord Stage 2, by waving your hand in front of the sensor.
See it in action here:
(don't mind the noise in the background; the device itself is completely quiet)
Schematics & build instructions:
Feel free to copy & build your own!
Kind regards,
Steven

Re: DIY infrared switch for Leslie
Thank you very much for this. You've produced a great guide here. I saw your post on a Facebook group and signed up here specifically for this. I didn't even know there was a Nord Forum. Very cools stuff.
I expect this will work fine with my old Electro 2 and will add it to my list of electronic tinkering projects I have to do for the home studio.
From one Steven to another, thanks

PCB board layout has been updated; capacitor C2 was drawn incorrect.
(Thanks to Bart van de Griendt for mentioning this to me!)

Get this patented! Very nice idea. It just won't bring a fortune.
And a nice thing to invite FB users to the forum. For me - in contrary - FB is closed land. Hardly any access as I don't accept the terms of use.

Not sure if you can get this patented. Since Roland has something like this called the V-beam I thought?

Actually it is called D-beam. I'm not sure if it works with lesslie speed since I never had a roland with organ engine, but you can assign various modulations to it.
