NL2X to NL4
Hi, I'm thinking about selling my Nord Lead 2X and buying a Nord Lead 4, but i´m concerned about my programs.
Is it possible to export my programs from my NL2X to a Nord Lead 4?
thanks

Hej!
No, sorry ... you have to do it "by ear" ... ... two totally different architectures, with some similar thinking in UI.
By the way: keep the NL2X! I did ... still in love with it, and my NLA1 & NL4!

Re: NL2X to NL4
Hi obijuan,
I second Marlowes advice. I would try to keep the NL2X and add the NL4, I have both, I would surely miss my NL2X if I sold it.
The NL2X has a very unique sonic character that differs from the NL4, plus the NL4 does not have the Perc. Kits like the NL2X.
Cheers,
Muziksculp

OT: confession ...
I run both the 4 and 2X through cheap Behringer multi effect racks, bought on eBay for 30-50 EUR.
With tons of chorus and reverb abuse.
But not the A1 - its internals FX are pristine and untarnished!

Re: NL2X to NL4
+1 keep the NL2X, i know thats easy to say but the none of the new nords can come up with that amount of percussive sounds which the NL2X is very good at. Also its Unison mode is very different compared to the new nords. Sure it still need some FX but a delay and reverb pedal could fix this.
I got the Nord Wave, the 3 the 4 the A1 and the Nord Lead 2X is nowhere redundant in that setup.
At max i think you could produce 50% of the sounds from NL2X on a NL4 but usually its the other 50% type of sounds we like in a synth which makes it unique

Re: NL2X to NL4
Do you have buzz and hum with your beringher mixer? I bought one and it was crazy loud...So, I bought a tascam LM-8ST instead...Ok, not the same price but no noise at all, no hum...

Re: NL2X to NL4
Hej!
Hmmm ... as far as I can judge, my Behringers are quite OK when it comes to hum and noise. No problem for my two old FX ones.
Also I have four Behringer mixers that work just fine for me.
Perhaps my ears are too old to notice any unwanted effects?

Only very old effect section have that issue in mixer, since midas components are inside, all is really high qualityQuai34 wrote:Do you have buzz and hum with your beringher mixer?
