Hello everyone,

I'm new to the forums, so I apologize in advance if this topic has already been out, I could not find it.

The fact is that I have a Beatstep Pro from Arturia and a Nord Stage 2 EX and I want to sync the clocks in both ways, from NS2 to BSP and from BSP to NS2.

The NS2 works fine if BSP act as a master but doesn't works if I try to use NS2 as a master.

I connected both MIDI input and output between them, set the sync led in BSP as MIDI and active the Master Clock in NS2 (I can see in NS2 "Mst Clock Internal" in the led display), but the BSP can't get the NS2 tempo and doesn't active the sequence when I push "play" (nothing happend).

Any advice?

As far as i remember (sold my NS2) the NS2 can not transmit MIDI clk. Only recieve.
Took a quick look in the manual too ... but no, found nothing about tx of MIDI clk.

But I have kept my Beatstep Pro - very inspiring to play with.

best advice is to give up your quest. As Marlowes suggested, the NS2EX does not output clock data. It is not possible to sync your Beatstep Pro to the Nord's internal clock.

Well ... I have not tried ... the Beatstep Pro is designed to be some kind of "The Controller" ... it even rules my Arturia Spark drummer.
I had a brief look in the BS Pro manual but nothing there - only how you control other units ...

So: the latter ... "Suicide Squad".

I suppose Marlowe's must know, but speaking generically the Nord's External Sections (Slots A and B) are capable of generating/transmitting 1) volume (cc#7) data, 2) program changes, and 3) any additional midi cc # which you may wish to assign in External Menu. You must ask yourself what the Arturia can do with these data...
