Nord Piano 2 Backup to Nord Electro5

I had a Nord Piano 2 that was just stolen. I have the system backed up. However, I do not have another Nord Piano 2 or the funds to get one. Is it possible to put the some of the programs from the Piano 2 onto a Nord Electro 5? I have a bunch of keyboards that we made out of found sounds...

Hi wlukens86, and condolences on your loss...

NP2 programs will not load onto an NE5, but they can be manually recreated. If you change the name of your NP2 backup file to a .zip file, you will then be able to unzip it. This will result in subfolders containing all of the pianos, samples and programs which were on the NP2. The pianos and samples can then be loaded onto an NE5 and new programs created using them.

As Pablo said, you can recover the Piano samples you used on the NP2, but you will have to recreate each program manually based on your memory (unless you can borrow a NP2 to temporarily restore your backup and then manually inspect each program's parameters)
