We have recently purchased a new Nord Stage 2 EX and we need to find/create this Tuned Wood Blocks sound:



Please, can someone tell us where we can find some similar sound or how we can create it and download into the Nord Stage 2 EX?

PS: have you tried to look in the Nord Library or samples section of this site and see if there are already some, at least similar?

PS: have you tried to look in the Nord Library or samples section of this site and see if there are already some, at least similar?

You need to hear the exemple I've uploaded and try to be aware of the sound that appears like a Tuned Wood Blocks.

I've found a similar percussion sound downloading the NSMP Sonatina Perc library in the official Nord Stage 2 Sample Library. With it, using the sample "SO PERSUCCION" and playing the F and F# keys of the keyboard, I get a similar sound, but only in this two keys (two notes), because this set percussion is not tuned and I need diferent wood blocks tuned to play the melody like the example above.

A Xylophone sound perhaps can help... but it's not exactly what we need.

You may search for a Marimba sound (there should be one in the NS2 preload) and then try to tweak it with synth Filter/Envelope and the EQ.

What you're hearing there are temple blocks, not wood blocks. Could help with your search.

As maxpiano has suggested, I have edited a Marimba sound to get a similar sound and it's not bad. Thank you very much!
