Hi all,
Im hoping there are some Machinedrum/Nord users out there, is so, itd be great to get a bit of assistance/insight
Ive recently purchased a Machinedrum UW MK2 and am trying to connect it to my Nord Rack 2 so that it picks up the sounds of the Rack to be used for sequencing...ive tried to use the manual, leading to the following steps, but to no avail:
1. Connect Midi In (Nord Rack)-->Midi Out (Machindrum)
2. created a new kit on 1-BD, MID 01 SYNT w no parameters selected for relate>mute position or trig position.
3. went to global setting to change the local control to on, from which point when i press track 1-BD, it triggers the Nord Rack (light flashes on the NR2) but no sound.
4. Base channel is set to "1-4 for slot 1, while the midi channel on the Nord is set to midi channel 1 as well.
From here, i just dont really know what else needs to be done, as there is no output generated by the Nord Rack/MD when playing the track...if you could please provide some assistance on where im going wrong and what additional steps are needed, it would be very much appreciated.
All the best Jake

Re: Machinedrum/NR2 Midi setup
A late answer to your post so you may already have it figured out, but to control the NL from the machinedrum it is better to use a mid machine. That way you can send specific notes and control data. The number of the mid machine is the channel it will transmit on. Make sure you choose a different channel than the MD base channel +3 (channel 1-4). Or you could disable the base channel altogether - those channels are for recording and triggering the drum sounds in the MD.

Re: Machinedrum/NR2 Midi setup
Hi Jake. First of all, check your post: I answered to you there
Secondly, what you need to do now (after checking what Muied Lumens said about channels) is.. set a sequence. So on the track hosting the Midi machine, set trigs and lock the parameter "NOT1", "NOT2" and whatever you want.
Take you manual's machine reference and get to the Midi machine page: everything is in there
