Nord's classical Virtual Analog Synth Nord LEAD 1/2/2x/3/4/A1 and Nord Rack versions

Re: Nord Lead A1 Down Sides

There are four completely separate delays, one for each of the four slots. They can optionally be synced to a master clock or external clock, each with their own subdivisions.

The only thing that's global is whether the delay is a straight digital delay or an emulated analog delay. In analog mode, when adjusting the delay time, the pitches of already-repeating notes will change like on a tape delay when you move the playback head.

From the manual:
The Sound Menu Delay Mode setting can be set to normal or analog. This determines if the delay should change the pitch on sounding re- peats in the fashion of an analog delay, if the Delay Tempo is adjusted. When set to Normal, the pitch does not change.

OK. Well that seems an incredibly minor limitation?

digital delay is boring anyway -- set it to analog and leave it there for the rest of eternity...

Yes, that's a minor issue.

But why make any soundwhise option global. I don't get why that makes any sense? Why do I have to choose the Vibrato settings for ALL OF MY PATCHES globally? I bang my head on the table regularly because of that...

Hey Marlowes, you are kidding right? I just got my nord and set it onto my stand on the second tier angled down about 45 degrees. Does this really effect the aftertouch? because i have noticed the popping out that yall are talking about.
Do I need to keep my nord level or not? thanks. Had to ask

No issue Psysenz, you can place and use your A1 it as you like, 45, 90, 180 degrees, on your lap, behind your head: it will never be a problem ;)

PS: Have you watched the video that Marlowes had in that post you quoted? If not, you should and all will suddenly be much more clear ;)

This was a joke. The velocity morph thing has nothing to do with it, as it is a Nord Electro in this video.

Please send them a feedback via the homepage with this problem. They got to know that!
