concerned that emartin might not see my apology, I thought to reach out to him and send same via IM, but this now seems not to be possible -- apparently he has removed his membership from this forum

this is NOT the way things should go

it seems likely that he may belong to other online keyboard forums. if anyone here has any info relating to this, please let me know. I would like to go to that forum, join it, and again extend an apology

seeing people seemingly driven away in this manner does not make me happy...

Hey Pablo, no apologies are necessary! I do appreciate the sentiment behind them though...it shows a maturity of character that a lot of us, me included, were not showing in the "debate."

Ok, ok, I concede the Nord is as famous as Cheetos. Well, no I don't, but at least I *did* manage to get a list of a lot more interesting names than you usually find in Clavia's publicity materias.

And no, I do not want Clavia to become like Yamaha or Korg - I think I said that earlier - I totally groove on their vibe. Sure, a larger market penetration might mean some lower retail costs for us...but with big markets comes sameness and stagnation, because you have to start catering to the crowd. I'll pay the premium to keep them cool.

I totally missed the discussion in the other topic, but I have been teased by some other musician friends that my use of Nord instruments is "too trendy" based on the number of these things showing up on stages.

May I join the round to offer a virtual beer or two — or non-alcoholic beverage of choice — and clink glasses with you over our beautiful machines and their rose-red future?
