Based on a dubious first impression with bad headphones and super noisy background ambient noise at NAMM, I'd say the NP3 is a definite improvement but still is trailing the CP4, in the area of a substantial feeling keyboard action. They all fall in behind the MP11, of course at half the instrument weight.
However if you are a big fan of the Nord pianos and the player/instrument connection, I'm pretty certain you will enjoy the updated action and the overall playing experience.
When it becomes available, I'd most definitely give it a trial play to see if you connect with it. Undoubtedly many will.
Again, sadly, it was pretty much a double negative with regard to the listening environmment and wanting to spend any length of time on it at NAMM.
I might very well enjoy it much more hearing it through my speaker and preamp system on a regular jazz gig. Looking forward to playing it again myself under more favorable conditions.
