Hi all,
I can't seem to find any written specifications that state the sample rate or the bit depth of the ND2.
what is the ND2's sample rate / bit depth! am I missing something? Does it not work like traditional digital gear?
Any insight much appreciated!

Re: Sample rate
Hi,
I don't havé anymore nord Drum but My understanding was that it's virtual analog drums box, so samples, like any Nord lead....but focused on drums....that's why you din't have any sample rate...?

Re: Sample rate
Yes, there must be a sample rate and bit depth to convert from digital to analog.
I do not know what those values are, though.

Re: Sample rate
Thanks for your replies. The ND2 is the first bit of music/ digital kit I've bought for a long time. Sample rate / bit depth, along with AD converters used to be the (my?) obsession. Which is why I'm surprised these details aren't part of the advertised spec. It's described as a Modelling Percussion Synthesizer. There's no mention of using samples in the manual, only wave forms, and a noise generator which has the ability to produce a low bit rate 'retro' effect. I want to hear something along the lines of, 'sample rate is no longer a factor because technology has advanced...' I must say I'd be a bit disappointed if it was just 44.1KHz / 16bit but, maybe it just doesn't matter so much with drums...
Thanks again for you thoughts.

Re: Sample rate
Hi!
The Nord Drum 2 can't record audio, it doesn't have AD converters, only DA.
It is a digital synthesizer, not a sampler; you can't import, or play back recorded samples.
Like many synthesizers, technical details like the DA converters used, bitrate and depth, and output circuitry are not specified, but in my opinion the Nord Drum 2 is a very nice sounding synth!
When I'm playing with it, I am not aware of the fact it's a digital instrument..
Cheers,
Albert
