Yes, I think with my stomp box, TC Helix phaser, TC delay, TC flanger and TC hall of fame I should be able to refine the sound.

24db because it's the sharpest one, the one that cut faster the frequencies, then more dedicated for lead compared to the 12db ala Oberheim more dedicated for smooth pads, right?
And the resonance to have the way effect, ok....got it. If it was with less resonance the way effect would have been less pronounced?
But good idea for legato mode for smooth solo, never thought about this one for soloing, I was more used to use the portamento for that kind of opposed long glide ala Jean-Michel Jarre.
So, I'm in vacation right now, but will try it as son as I 'm back on in front of my synth and will let you know.

Well, I usually just use my ears and tweak until I find something that sounds good and close to what I'm looking for, and I don't think too much about theory. So I suggest you just spend some (a lot) of time with the instrument and develop a feel for it. And experiment with the settings to see what happens with more or less resonance etc.

Not yet, I will and for sure will let you know.....
In fact, we've been spending time with my new band on :
1) establishing a covenant, then, no more whining as it was previously
2) Everyne came with a proposal of songs, total was 185 songs, we shrined the wall if all 6 agreed.....then 37 songs
3) We added the songs with one Maybe by one member and 5 Yes, so 19 songs
4) Total to practice and to be gig ready for June/September at the earliest.....56 songs...
AND old love was not selected....too slow for one of them....But I will practice it for me and specially to focus on the sound you made....
Anyway, as it could be a good idea for you, I'm sharing here our two first steps : the covenant might help,you in any time you want to make sure you are on the same page...
The list is with links online to listen to it.....maybe easier for you to propose some of the songs to your band members....


And you will know what kind of Music we are playing....
