Hi mbor
First of all: Welcome here!
I think you should start a new topic for this... maybe even in General Topics - you'll get more responses from non NS2 owners.

Henrik, first thank you for the significant effort, you helped over the threshold of the learning curve. I thoroughly read the tutorial and it was very informative, went over my head after page 8, but I learned what I needed for now. Mostly turn off what you do not need. My final issue was turning off the sustain, I am trying to use the Stage 73 to control a Korg PS60 to allow quick layering during performances and the sustain was distracting when controlling Organ and Strings. Turned off all of your suggestions and was about to post a question when I went to the PS60 and started turning things off 1 at a time, it was Midi/Midi Filter/Ctrl Chg: OFF - on the Korg. Hope this helps another beginner
Octave Shift was another problem until I realized what you were presenting in the EXTERN section of the tutorial. This is actually very helpful, it allows controlling the Korg in one octave and playing the Korg manually in another octave.
My next task is to link the Rotor controls but I am afraid the I just turned off that ability - Thinking about that further I would never want the Korg's Organ since the Nord's is far superior.
One small question - the guide looks like it was written for the original Stage, but I will be using a Stage 2 EX. I presume the differences would be minimal (if any) but would be grateful if anyone can confirm this before I read the whole guide in detail and find it accidentally misleading. Hope that doesn't sound rude - isn't meant to!!
From a quick scan through it looks like a fantastic piece of work, and being new to the world of the red keyboard, and with it's architecture being so different to most other boards, I am sure it will be really helpful, so thanks very much.
Nord Stage 2 Ex Compact, Roland FA06, Roland JX03, Yamaha Motif XS7
if you folllow the link provided in the first post of this thread you will see that he calls this v2 and specifies that it includes NS2. Your NS2EX is functionally identical to NS2 and all same things will apply.
Bless,
Pablo

I'm sort of new at this. I have a Nord Stage 2 HA76 and would like to use an iPad to transmit MIDI settings to the board. I use Set List Maker for listing the songs in a set. One of the fields for each song is MIDI settings. Is it possible to use Set List Maker on iPad to transmit setup changes for each song? Is there another application that can accomplish this?

Thnx, Tom
You can connect iPad to NS2 via USB Camera Connection kit and use SetList Maker to send Program Changes or other MIDI, this has been discussed several times on the NUF (please do a search)
