I've borrowed a Nord Piano 2 in order to record a piano soundtrack, but can't get it to work with the software/devices I have...can anyone help?

I have:
- Laptop running Windows 10
- Latest version of Audacity
- USB cable

I've connected the Nord to the laptop with the USB, and Windows is recognising it in its device list, but I can't get Audacity to acknowledge it at all. Is there something I'm missing on the Nord? On Windows? On Audacity? Or would I be better off not using the USB to record and buying a midi cable instead? Have spent the last hour reading online manuals & forums but not found a solution...

Any help would be appreciated - I'm a total novice when it comes to digital recording...thanks.

Not possible, as far as I know.
I've always used two audio cables ... (L & R, 1/4" tele ... to my mixer ... to my Mac with Logic.)

Yes only Midi and Nord Sound Manager/Sample Editor use the USB port - you need to connect the audio outputs of the Nord into the audio inputs of your computer sound card/ interface if you want to record the sound of the Nord.
