Hello, can somebody please explain me how to export recorded sequence, I've successfully connected my new Nord Drum 2 into my computer and everything is working, I recorded some beat in ableton its all playing but as soon as I export the midi file and then play it in VLC player, all I can hear are default Ableton keys and not the beautiful sounds from Nord drum 2.
What am I doing wrong as I am very new to Ableton and just setting it all up took me ages, I rather ask whats wrong with this exported midi file in order to save my time. Thank you very much.

MIDI is performance data, not audio. You can only hear the noise the synth makes if you record the audio stream (an audio track), or in real time if you set the MIDI channel in the sequence to control (play) the synth.

Hi!
You have to connect the audio outputs of the ND2 to an audio interface/ soundcard on your computer
In ableton you'll have to set up a stereo audio track with the audio interface /soundcard as source/input, then record the sound of the ND2 onto that audio track.. I'm not familiar with ableton to help you in detail, but that is roughly what you should do..
Cheers,
Albert
