Midi velocity output settings?
I am finding that my NP triggers my virtual instrument pianos at a very low level of velocity. If I use my old Alesis QS8, the difference is night and day. Is there a setting that can get the NP to increase it's velocity on the MIDI out?

Can't answer about the NP as I don't have one, but I imagine your VI pianos would have some form of velocity editing?

Yeah....I think it's gonna be a thing controlled by my VI's, as you say. Doesn't appear to be any way to adjust on the NP, except for the front panel buttons, but that only controls the NP's piano sounds..not out midi.

Re: Midi velocity output settings?
Try some different curves on your NP. (if you have the NP2)
I noticed my NP2 is a little less velocity than my Q88 playing the same VI's but I can live with it. Once in a while I'll adjust an VI to compensate (filter, volume etc)

Re: Midi velocity output settings?
As confirmed in separate conversation with TopoTony, the NP's front panel dynamics control affects how the keys address the Nord's internal sound engine, but has no effect on the outgoing midi data stream. It will therefore be necessary to make any desired adjustments either from within the VI itself or run the midi data through a processor of some sort. There are various publicly available softwarez, for both Mac and PC platforms and some for free, which will handle this with varying degrees of difficulty.
