C2 PIP Error on Boot - USB not recognized in Sound Manager
Today my C2 (firmware 2.0.0) booted up with a PIP ERR message which brought me to this forum. I read in another thread from earlier this year that you can run the Nord factory reset to restore the Pipe organ samples. But when I connect up my C2 to my Mac or PC the Sound Manager (v6.74) software will not recognize the USB connection to the Nord. If I try to boot the Nord up in firmware update more (SHIFT + STORE) the USB connection will come up but it will say version not supported (v0.10). Is there a way to force my Nord C2 into USB mass storage mode at start-up so I can reload the factory data? I suspect the firmware is error'ing out before it can initialize the USB feature and Sound Manager will not recognize the device being present (all buttons remained grayed out). Any help or suggestions are appreciated.

Re: C2 PIP Error on Boot - USB not recognized in Sound Manag
Hi Lyndon,
If the boot is being interrupted to give you this error message and not completing, I suspect (pretty sure) that hitting the SHIFT button at that point will cause the boot to complete and then it will sync with Nord Sound Manager and the pipes can be loaded.
I am your tech support rep and you can contact me via my regular work contacts as shown below for a copy of (or link to, I don't recall how large the file is offhand) the zipped pipe file you need to restore that sound to your instrument.

Pressing the SHIFT button and I was able to bypass the PIP error message at boot. Thanks! I send you an email to grab the data to restore the pipe organ partition. Thank you so much!
