Hello,
I've tried to sample an instrument from Logic into the Nord Sample Editor. I've bounced C4 note into a .wav file and then added it into the Sample Editor but no waveform appears...Only a line...And when I click assign, message below says "assign failed".
What can I do?
Cheers,
Lauren

Re: Sample from logic into nord sample editor
Hi Lauren,
Sound like perhaps something is wrong with your .wav file? Is it large? Perhaps you could post it here?
Bless,
Pablo

Re: Sample from logic into nord sample editor
Hi Pablo! Thanks for your message!
I've attached the wav file. So I was hoping of assigning it to C4 on the Nord and then spread it out across the keyboard so I can play it... Hope this make sense!
Btw this is just an example of what I was hoping to achieve with all my samples but every time I bounced any sound into a wav in Logic, no waveforms would pop up :/
Cheers,
Lauren

That file is not working here. How exactly did you bounce what exactly out of Logic?

Re: Sample from logic into nord sample editor
Not working for me in Sound Forge either. It seems that there is something wrong with the .wav file.
Also, 12MB is crazy huge for a single note (is this is recording of a single note?). Further, you are not likely to get good results from trying to map a single note across an entire keyboard. You really want to learn more about the sampling process in general. There are threads here in this forum which discuss this in detail, so I don't really want to try to "reinvent the wheel" here and write it all over again. Basically, you need to determine an optimal sampling interval (I generally go for minor thirds or major thirds, but I see that Mididiot has gotten really great results from using fourths) and sample notes across your desired range based on the interval you select.
You'll need to re-examine your .wav file production process to see what is going wrong...

Re: Sample from logic into nord sample editor
If you describe exactly what you've been trying, we can probably help. I'm on Logic myself, and have in fact used that very preset in production...
