Velocity layered samples aren't possible on the Stage, sadly.

Not really. Using both slots will allow you to layer two samples, but you still won't be able to do velocity-switching or cross-fading.

I believe you actually can or I am misunderstanding what you mean. By using A and B and the Mod Wheel or Expression Pedal you can do for instance cross-fading.

VELOCITY refers to how hard you hit the key. Velocity layering of samples is not possible on any current Nord keyboards.

No. It requires either new architecture to allow you to assign velocity to morph parameters, or an entirely new sample architecture allowing multi-layered samples.
Neither is just a simple "problem" that can be "fixed" with a minor update.
