Dear all,
Finally I got my stage back from the rehearsal room and had time to try out all the patches which have been so far uploaded in the yahoo group. In order to provide an opportunity for people interested in the sounds cou can create with the Nord Stage I copied then here including a short MP3 sample. IMHO, I particulary found that five sounds were quite interesting but note that I did not programmed them but credits go to the mentioned yahoo group members!!!
1) Prince - 1999 (patch created by meneervandale2000)
2) Blur - Beetlebum (patch created by mrbrogers)
3) A nice Funky Lead (patch created by nordzityi)
4) The Doors - Voxy (e.g. Light my fire) (patch created by mate_stubb)
5) Accordian (patch created by mate_stubb)
6) Van Halen - Jump (patch created by piotre.costantinov)
*I know, almost every keyboard/piano player hate people asking at gigs, "can you play jump?" but whatsoever... ;-)*
Moreover, there are lots of SYX patches. However, I were for some reason not able to get them on my stage even though MidiOx and the interface worked well. In particular there was a trumpet and trombone (created by ipcmcc):
I would have liked to try out. Maybe someone can convert them into standard patches or has a hint how to make this work?
There are actually around hundred or so patches but these were the ones I liked most in terms of being kinda "innovative". But feel free to add what you really like!
Moreover, I just downloaded them, dreated the sample and put them here to make them more easily accessible, so if you have any worries regarding your created patches / intellectual property please let me know!

Actually, someone translated them into patches :
By the way, I found on the group a much more interesting "light my fire" patch. I don't remember which one, I'll check that tonight on my keyboard.
Oooh, by the way, I shared some of my vangelis sounds here : complete-programs-nspg-files-and-mp3previews-f5/vangelis-t18.html
nobody seems to notice, since I started the thread long before working on these patches...
Again, Johannes, thanks a lot.

Re: Patches from the Yahoo group
Hi thanks,
yeah there was another one of Light my fire. But anyway, given the Stages main features, a Vox and a Bass Rhodes shouln't be too difficult ;-) But it's nice to play!!
And thanks for the Trumpet and Trombone. I just played some notes:
I really like the trumpet!! Great how realistically (well within its limits...) the Synth can be tweaked!!
On the other hand, I am not quite convinced by the trombone, not really fat/brassy IMHO
Moreover, it's fun how the Vibrato comes in with Aftertouch. Though I couln't digure out how ii is implemented in the Patch?? Because they don't use the MORPH function so how does Aftertouch work on this patch, any idea??

yeah, really simple indeed : on the vibrato section. see on the following picture : vibrato comes with aftertouch (2 LEDs DLY1+DLY2)
very cool to have vibrato on aftertouch : one of my fav settings

Re: Patches from the Yahoo group
Hi,
recently I have been looking for some new "fresh" sounds to work wit my new project on and besides some patches I created myself, wanted to look out there if there were some nice sounds to start as an inspiration with. Again I looked up the File database on the Yahoo group as main source and found two sounds I had not tried out before which I quite liked. In general there are around 100 sounds there, so this is definitely a subjective selection, but I was mainly interested in kind of "new" non-standard EPs/Organs.
Today: found a nice electric guitar à la "Sugar Mice" and one nice distorted Rhodes e.g. as in "Get Back". Both sounds were created by Piotre.Costantinov, so all credits go to him!! Hope you don't mind me posting them here, if so, please tell me!! But esp. the electric guitar is something new (at least to me!)
Get Back (Beatles, distorted Rhodes):
Sugar Mice (Marillion, Electric Guitar based on Clav sample)
Cheers, Johannes
