Kick triggering (Roland KD-120)
Hi guys, I am curious to know if the Roland KD-120 is compatible with the Nord Drum 2?

Re: Kick triggering (Roland KD-120)
Hi,
Most probably,
I presume it's technically not very different from other Roland pads, the ND2 has a dedicated setting for Roland pads, but in fact even any simple piezo is compatible
I'm currently thinking of selling my noisy rubber Yamaha kick pad, and will be looking for a beaterless 'silent' bassdrum solution. Roland and Yamaha both make one, but the Krigg by Triggera, seems the perfect solution for me; installed on your own bass pedal it's supposedly very silent, and it is extremely affordable!
Cheers,
Albert

Thanks for your response! I will consider the Krigg by Triggera.

I am very tempted by the Roland KT-10 pedal for my ND2 but I am wondering whether it's going to work without any glitches
Did you have a go with any trigger pedal ?

Re: Kick triggering (Roland KD-120)
A bit late but here is the follow up:
The Triggera was very easy to install on my bassdrum pedal, but I had a horrible retriggering problem with it at first.
Perhaps it was caused by vibrations in my bassdrum pedal (e.g. the spring), so I had to experiment quite a bit with trigger type and threshold settings, but once that was sorted it worked quite well!!
I prefer the Nord Pad over my rubber Yamaha Pads. Both are equally noisy, but the Yamaha pads were constantly triggered by my acoustic kit, which I could fix with thres/sens. settings but then the pads became horribly insensitive, as a result i started hitting the pads harder..which made them noisier.. On top of that the Nord Pad is way easier to set up than a bunch of pads..
So the Triggera + Nord Pad is now my favorite combination!

Received my Krigg just this past Friday, installed it on my trusted good old Pearl Eliminator and it works perfectly. No retriggering issues so far but this is a very sensitive thing, moving the pedal around alone can trigger the ND. But when it's in place it works great and opens up new territories with the Nord Drum/Pad combo. It also comes at the most affordable price and with Triggera's excellent sales/customer service. The price/value ratio seems ubeatable here.
