ARP ProSolist samples by SC-Sound

Postby modularfreak » 20 Oct 2014, 22:11

I am looking for a nice ARP ProSolist sample library and came across the website of sc-sound.com.

Anyone here has any experience with their Nord Wave samples in general?

Are there other "quality" commercial sample libraries for the Nord Wave?

Yep. ProSoloist, JD-800, Emulator II, and the Oberheims. I'm verry satisfied! Try the Demosounds

@synthmooger: Thanks for the feedback! I will try those sc-sounds samples.

Does anyone know if there is a tool that is able to convert standard Emulator 2 files (.hfe) straight into Nord Wave samples (.nsmp)? Would be very handy as those Emu 2 sounds are beautiful sounding "classics".

There is no such tool (at least available to the public). The format of the nsmp files is not open. What you can do other is take a WAV file (16bit 44.1 KHz) (or a group of those) and convert them to nsmp with the Nord Sample Editor. It is a one way conversion.

Thanks for your info. I was looking for a "simple" process/tool. I might stick then with my Oberheim DPX-1 which perfectly plays Emulator 2 disks but there is no way of "manipulating" those sounds like with the Nord Wave.

I donĀ“t know if the Emu library is still copyright protected. If not I might contact Clavia and ask if they are interested.
