Hi,
I could buy a Nord Wave at 1200 $, is it still a good deal if you want to have the full Nord Library in it? I already have a Nord Stage II but no more room for any sample?
Would a nord lead 3 would be better? I already have a Nord lead 2X?

Sorry for the frank language. But this might be important in your choice of tools.

Right now I'm aiming for two separate rigs; one lounge/party gig and one electro pop wannabe.
Gives me a reason to collect gear.

Ok, so, yes I'm a gearslutz and I love so much Nord instruments that I cannot stop thinking about buying a forth one after my Stage 2, my Nord 2X and my C2.
But i was in a position few times of running out some free space in my stage 2 to download new samples I wanedt to use but couldn't decide which one I should erase in the Stage 2 to make room.so, I was wondering if I could solve this issue with a Nord Wave.
Another path that make me thinking about the Wave is that through answers coming from one of my previous threads and the post called "which nord is the best?" I understood that the Lead 3 and the A1 might not bring to me a lot compared to my 2X, even if I know that your set up is made with A1+2X....
And then, according again to the answers and posts I got on this forum, I will add on top of my C2 a Prophet 08 that could bring me the more pure "analoguish" sound that one guy was referring as the main valuable characteristic of the A1....
So, that's why I was thinking about this synth but I will always stay in my usual range of music, Jazz, jazz rock, fusion, rock, rhythm and blues, vangelis/Jarre kind of music and that"s it....For example the last song I worked on is Run For Cover, David Sandborn/Marcus Miller....using the Stage for E.Piano. Organ, Strings and Harp arpeggio, matrix 1000 for bass, Proteus 2000 and XV5080 for brass, and DE50 for another layer of strings....And also, even If I think that 990$ now for a White Moog Little Phatty seems to be a good deal I still have issue with monophonic synth when I could have a polyphonic one for 200 $ more with the Wave....

I bought a Nord Wave in 2011 new for $1940. I listed it for sale two years later for $1850 and sold it for full price in one day.

$1200 is a great deal, in my opinion-

that's a KILLER price!! and what may br the sweetest synth ever made by Nord -- in competition with the G2X...
