Maybe the wood used for my pitch stick was from a tree harvested from a sacred burial ground?

It seems I've no alternative other than to fix the stick in place and use an external controller, and paint the machine black.

Thanks for the support Nord.

I have an interesting pitch stick fail.. I have a nord stage "classic" the pitch stick gets very heavy use from me. all of a sudden the synth section sounds are 4 quater tones up. when i jiggle the stick it comes back to zero. but pitch to the right and you get 4 semi tones, pitch to the left, and get nothing.
I hope this is easy to replace.. if it is, no foul ! tonnes of use. if it isn't. i WILL CRY.

Hi Andy,

The pitch stick has two strain resistors, one on each side, one for up and one for down. Apparently your strain resistors have failed in different ways (or one failed and the other not -- isn't four quarter tones roughly equivalent to one tone? )

There are four pitch stick leads each of which need to be soldered to the panelboard, after desoldering and removing the four leads of the existing pstick of course. It ain't rocket science, but then again you'll want someone with soldering skills to handle this for you. Don't want to endanger your panelboard PCB by having an amateur perform surgery on it. That would be an expensive lesson! The replacement pstick should be available through your national distributor and/or their dealer network.
