Place to trade Nord Drum 2 kits/banks?
Hi, I'm new to this forum and I just got my Nord Drum 2. I also have a Nord Modular G2 and I've been a long time member of the electro-music.com forum for G2 discussions and patch trading. I see there's a feature of this forum for trading samples for other Nord instruments, but it'd sure nice to see some place for trading Nord Drum 2 kits. Or do people just attach kits as files to forum posts?

Hi Rhombus,
And welcome to this forum. You will notice that program sharing pages exist here for samples and Stages, but not Electros. This is not to discriminate against Electro owners -- it is simply the case that historically there has been no interest in trying to share Electro programs, Electro programs being rather simple affairs. Recently someone came along motivated to try to set up an Electro program library and after much back and forth commenting from many members it eventually came to this (condensed version): at the present time there does not seem to be sufficient interest in creating a whole new library for Electro programs, so attaching them to threads will be the way to go for now. The issue can be revisited if/when the trafficking of these things begins to show more volume.
It would seem likely that the same will be the case for the ND2. There seems to be little need for a seperate library at the present time, but this may change over time. With so many banks already available from Nord, perhaps many users are using existing sounds. Also perhaps the ones who are taking the time/trouble to do much custom programming are feeling protective of their work and not up for sharing.
Bless,
Pablo

It looks like the Nord Drum Manager can't upload individual kits, which is too bad because that makes trading kits very difficult. That's one of my favorite features of the G2, being able to save and load patches easily. I learned so much from other people that way.
