Hi my name is Ferdinand, just bought the NP88 before it's discontinue ,
just now, my last two keys (87 and 88) dead, no matter sound i choose.
any help or same problems?
In my country, the company that distribute Nord ,had very bad reputation for their bad service, so if can
i don't want to return my NP88 to them to be repair, cause it will take 6-12 months to repair it.
any suggestions?
Ferdinand

Re: last two notes dead
Hi Kharismata,
I'm sorry you are having this problem with your NP. Chances are very good that this problem is simply a matter of dirt getting in there and fouling key contacts. If this is the problem, opening your Nord and cleaning that area should cure the problem.
PLEASE DO NOT ATTEMPT THIS YOURSELF, at least not without getting some detailed instruction first. Where are you located? Perhaps there is someone who is skilled in instrument repair near you? This is not a problem which is specific to Nord -- it can and will from time to time happen on any keyboard. For this reason, most any keyboard tech will know how to fix it.
It is perhaps fortunate that this is happening to the two highest notes instead of in the middle of the instrument so that you can continue to play for some time while a solution is discovered. Please let us know where you are and perhaps a good solution can be discovered.
Bless,
Pablo

Re: last two notes dead
Hi Thom,
There is only one fix for that problem -- open up and disassemble the instrument in order to expose the internal contact surfaces for the note(s) giving problems, clean them, then reassemble. Are you having that problem with your Wave or your NS2?
Bless,
Pablo
