Hi,
I am using an electro 3 73. When I'm changing between piano and organ, I always need to adjust the Gain, because the piano/grand sounds are relatively quiet.
Therefore I tried the Live-Mode to save the Gain-Level automatically. Unfortunately it doesn't seem to work. After changing the sound, the Level stays the same and is not being saved with the specific sound.
Can anyone tell me the reason why ?
Thank you and sorry for the bad english

Re: Live-Mode doesn't save Gain-Level
Hi Nord_dhost, welcome to the forum
As I understand, the Live locations are continuously saved, meaning that any change you do is set in memory.
Now, I'm not sure what you mean by this:
Could you describe in details the workflow?...

Re: Live-Mode doesn't save Gain-Level
First step is, that I change to the Live-Mode. After that, I set the level of the piano-sound to, say 70%. Afterwards I switch to the organ section and reduce the gain to maybe 30%.
When I switch back to the piano, I'd like to have the 70% gain back, but unfortunately it stays at 30% (by ear..).
Do I need to store the gain setting manually or something ?

Re: Live-Mode doesn't save Gain-Level
When I have done this in the past it seemed to save whatever your last setting was. If you are in Live mode and piano/organ share the same gain setting, the last one set will probably take precedence. You might want to try switching between 2 different saved settings, one for piano, one for organ.
Good Luck,

Mmmyes, I had understood correctly. Rb4u1 put his finger on it: i think the gain setting is shared bythe two parts -piano and organ.

Re: Live-Mode doesn't save Gain-Level
Yes, I agree with rb4u1. Live mode is the wrong place to save settings. It won't do what you want because it's not really intended for that purpose.
Instead, store your piano and organ sounds as two separate Programs and select each Program as you need it. (Storing Programs: manual page 9)
