Controlling a Kronos with a Piano2 problem

Postby musicbysterling » 12 May 2014, 02:44

I recently have created a live performance rig where I'm using my Piano2 88 to control different sounds in my KronosX 61 in Combination mode. I've come across an odd problem where none of the 20 or so electric piano Programs in the Kronos respond to the sustain pedal of the Nord. It's only on the electric sounds; virtually every other sound in the Kronos responds to the sustain pedal. I'm completely baffled. I've posted on the Korg Kronos Forum and got a response from a Korg support specialist who said that I should check and see if the Nord sustain pedal is outputting up to 127. I recorded some sustain pedal CC information into Logic Pro and sure enough, the sustain pedal is only sending out sustain information up to 85.

Has anyone else experienced this problem with a Kronos and its electric piano Programs? Is there a way to make the sustain pedal output 127? I've tested various sustain pedals and they all respond the same.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!
Thx
Mark
