I have noted that there is considerable disappointment re the limited functionality of aftertouch on the wave.
Trouble is my aftertouch doesn't work at all.
Have opened her up and seen that there is a pressure ribbon running beneath the keybed which is properly connected. I suspect that a data cable in the ribbon has broken.
Anyone else had this problem? How could I get it repaired in the uk?
Cheers
Rob

Re: Aftertouch
Sorry to ask the obvious but have you assigned something to the AT?
At least one Nord model reported here recently has 2 ribbons, I do not know the Wave, did you see 1 or 2?
If 2, are the white AND black keys non-functional?
Your best bet for repair is listed in the Nord website.

Re: Aftertouch
Hare rechecked this problem.
I have assigned the vibrato to after touch and set the rate.
The aftertouch vibrato works only on the lowest white key and not on any other white or black keys, I guess this indicates a break in the data ribbon at the lowest note position??
The white keys require quite a bit of pressure to access the aftertouch feel
The black keys don't feel to have that feel at all.
It would be good to hear from other a Wave users re this, guess its a sub standard keybed.
Cheers

Re: Aftertouch
It sounds like a broken ribbon sensor, with some tiny bit at the last key still if functional.
Unless you know what part you need to replace (I do not know) and feel confident to do it, you should better get it fixed at the Nord service in the UK. If it us still under warranty the repair might be covered. Phone them and ask or phone the shop you bought it from.
