C2D Leslie sim good enough?
In your opinion, is the built-in Leslie sim in C2D good enough to use on a studio album? The genre is psychedelic/progressive 70s rock. I can record through a real Leslie in the studio, but then I'll lose the opportunity to re-record solos etc.

The sim 145 is perfect for a good sound on a record, wirh overdrive to 4.

Hej,
listen here: nord-c1-c2-c2d-organ-forum-f13/sound-samples-of-the-c2-c2d-rotary-speaker-simulations-t5578.html
Perhaps that helps.
I think that especially for recording via Line-out the internal sim is very, very good and you have several possibilities to "tune" the parameters.

Make the engineer record it in stereo. Record a midi track too, could come in handy.

Re: C2D Leslie sim good enough?
Thank you for the replies. I'll have to convince my band mates that the sound is good enough to record directly. The idea to record a midi track as well was great!

Re: C2D Leslie sim good enough?
I just found out that the studio also has a real B3, so I guess I just have to play on it instead of my c2d. I can always record my c2d at home later if I need to, or even record a midi file at home and record it through the Leslie we have at our rehearsal room..

Well, if the B3 is a nice one, that should be something to look forward to!

You can write down your preferred drawbar settings and get a head start that will save studio time (hopefully).
