Problem with organ volume

Postby zippo » 09 Jun 2011, 07:17

Hello all!

To switch fast between piano and organ on my Nord Stage 2, I have set up in slot A a piano sound and in slot B a organ sound. The controller pedal is set up as organ swell. But when I switch from piano to organ (from A to B) the volume of the organ sound does not resemble the current status of the controller pedal. It seems to me, that the organ sound has just a random volume.

Maybe someone has a solution for me?
Thanks in advance!

Hello Zippo,
Welcome to the forum.
The problem that you've experienced was posted by jazzdude, in the List of NS2 known issues/bugs thread in April 2011.
My search has yet to reveal any posts with workarounds, or solutions yet.
Nord pays close attention to this forum, but you should submit a request at: http://www.clavia.se/main.asp?tm=Suppor ... al_support

Awesome group Savoy Truffle, great sound! I like this organ solo at 05:36 in the demo on your website.
I've thoroughly enjoyed what I've heard so far.

Cheers, Hanon.

Thanks for your response, Hanon!
I've just submitted the problem to the Nord support (as you've suggested)

Hi Zippo,
Thanks for posting the full song.
For others' benefit, the solo that I was referring to is at 1:03

Is the intro Bari sax doubled with Cello? Brilliant!
The song just sounds like great fun!

Cheers, Hanon

Hello Zippo,
I've watched several of your videos also.
You are a most excellent guitar player too.
What are you using for the guitar amp and effects?

What I most like about your music is the sense of fun that is captured and conveyed.

When you get time, please post some stage setup photos your-music-rig-featuring-nord-instruments-f6/
I'd love to get a backstage look at your setup.

Cheers, Hanon

BTW. My wife is now making me buy your music on iTunes for her (us).

I'm flattered, but most of the guitar work is done by our guitarist Thom Berger. On the album also our bass player Holger Ruchatz did a few guitar parts.

What are you using for the guitar amp and effects?

On stage, I use a Line 6 Pod XT and a Roland SA-300 as stage monitor, Thom plays a Fender Deluxe Reverb and a Korg multi effect board (don't know the exact title). On the album were also a VOX AC30, some analog effect pedals and a few software-plug-ins used.

OK I will do, but it's not that exciting: only the Stage 2 and the Roland SA-300 amp.

My wife is now making me buy your music on iTunes for her (us).

That's the spirit! :-)

Thank you and cheers!

This is the reply from the Nord support (Tomas Johansson, Product Manager - Clavia DMI AB):

"Thanks for your report. Yes, this is an unfortunate bug that will be addressed in a future OS update. We are sorry for any inconvenience that may cause you."

Cheers Zippo
