"Glockenspiel"?

Post by Marlowes »

Where do I find a "Glockenspiel" sample? Springsteen-ish.
Thought I just saw one the other day but now I can not find it again.
(Maybe I'm getting blind and/or more stupid...)

Loving my E3HP!

Hello !

I've made a glock sample, but I don"t know if it looks like the sound you need.
Nevertheless, here it is :

Just compared it with Springsteens "Born To Run" on YouTube.
Not a perfect fit, in my opinion - but it will do the job!
Now loaded into my E3HP to be at hand when I'm at an audition on sunday night.

Thanks a lot!

I've just made a Glockenspiel/Xylophone split (Xylo up to middle C - Glock up to the top). The tails are a bit longer than pp3f's and I recorded all the notes separately hence the larger file size. I've filtered the samples at lower velocity and added the velocity dynamics to allow the instrument a bit of expression.

I recorded all the samples myself so there's a bit of 'character'. Hope it's of some use to someone else.

Thanks this is excellent. Before I was using the M chamberlin glockenspeil, but it was noisy, this seems better with a xylo as a plus

The Chamberlin glock is great but no volume dynamics. I use it in one of my band's songs. You can play this with a bit more variation. Sounds cool with the delay as well.

Hey Guys!

For Springsteen tunes I have sampled the Glockenspield from Miroslav Philharmonik. I've made a Glockenspiel_B (bright) and a Glockenspiel_D (dark). I use the sound here I use to mix the both sounds to get best results but however... here they are. Pretty close I think. :P

Thats very cool, burning keys. BTW, how is miroslav philharmonik? realistic? Have you sampled anything else from it? Is it hard and time consuming to do that?
