I need to restore the wave to its original settings, including samples which I deleted. Does the factory reset include samples?

If with 'factory reset' you mean restore the factory sounds that are on the included DVD (they can also be downloaded from the Nord site) then yes, it does exactly that.

I have quite a bit of equipment where you can do a factory reset, causing it to copy samples from ROM to FLASH (or battery-backed SRAM).
