splitting keyboard with two different synth programs
Is it possible to use split function and use a different synth program for each section of keyboard?

Re: splitting keyboard with two different synth programs
No, but you can have one synth in slot B and one synth in slot A, and each of those can be only part of the keyboard...so Slot A bass notes, and Slot A treble, and so on...(even slot A can be hi AND low, and slot B can be the middle!)

Re: splitting keyboard with two different synth programs
Right, the main way to split the keyboard to trigger two different synth sounds is to put one on Slot A and one on Slot B. However, if you want them both on the same slot, you could create your own custom sample that includes both sounds on the key regions you want them. There are limitations to what can be done that way, since then both synth sounds have to share settings (you no longer have independent volume, fx, filters, etc. for the two sounds), but people have done some useful things that way too.

Possibly you were just misunderstood.
The NS2 offers three different sections (organ, piano, synth/sample) each of which is there twice.
So you can use synth section A with one of your needed sounds and synth section B with another synth sound.
Both synth section A and synth section B can then be allocated to one, two or all the three split zones the keyboard can be divided into.
And it's again the same thing with the organ section A an B and Piano sections A and B.
So the anwer to your question is a simple YES, IT IS !, as long as you don't want to use more than two synth sounds in one patch.

Re: splitting keyboard with two different synth programs
Thanks, all, for your help. The tune I'm trying to do is Toto's "Africa" -the NS2 has that nice textured Synthpad program which works good for the verse/chorus parts, but I also need to play the "flute" bridge in middle.
