The IMHO best software is Resampler:
http://www.nexoe.de/downloads.html

Here a Tutorial for resampling for the Nord Wave:

There are others:
http://www.cdxtract.com/samplit.php
http://www.samplerobot.de/english/funktionalitaet.htm
http://www.redmatica.com/Redmatica/AutoSampler.html

Note that all these programs are not freeware, but Trial Versions are available. For free you have to do it yourself using Audacity etc. without the automated comfort of these proggies, I fear.

Just one more video to show how to resample without and special spoftware:

Cool, cheers for the other program recommendations. Resample looks great, but $240 is a bit out of my price range for something that does so little. Will have a go at the others!

Thanks for asking this question as I was wondering exactly the same thing myself!

FYI, if you're a Mac user, Autosampler is on sale for only US$69.95 until the end of May. I'm a little confused by their App store policy as Autosampler is in both their own online store and the Apple App store, so I've sent them a question about it. It seems that their own webstore can offer upgrades to existing products, while the Apple App store does not.

I had a quick look at their overview video and it looks as easy as pie to use, while having some seemingly quite power features.

Still no velocity layers ... ?

Is it that Nord Wave or Stage hardware keyboard does not support this ?

or is it only a software issue and can we expect that Nord Sound Manager will support layers soon ?

I did that with an external instrument, my Roland RD300 (not a VST) :

I still have to manually put the samples into Nord Sound Manager ... I do not own any Nord keyboard but need to test that kind of things before I buy to see if it suits some of my needs.

Can't really afford any of that software, which is a shame

Going to try out sampling manually with ableton live I reckon. I need to use sustained sounds for it, which are apparently more 'difficult' but i'll see how things go i guess

Really cool video.
The guy makes it all look so easy.
I sure wish he'd post that M1 sample:)
It's a shame the price is so high on the software.

Indeed it is not for free.
I recently came across HighLife (http://www.kvraudio.com/get/977.html) which seems quite nice in particular when sampling from VSTi Instruments, even though it is not that far automated.
But it is freeware, thus might be worth a try?!
